Ashley and Amy Van Meter
Ashley Michael Van Meter is the branch manager for The Van Meter Mortgage Group, a branch of Interlinc Mortgage Services, LLC. With a degree in business, Ashley spent his first 10 years in sales and business development with Schwann’s and ConAgra. Ashley entered the residential mortgage finance industry in 2003. He received his BBA in International Business from SHSU in 1993 while his wife, Amy, received her BS in Interdisciplinary studies from SHSU in 1993.
Bill and Kerri Byler
William T. “Bill” Byler, Jr., is president of W. T. Byler, Co., Inc. The W. T. Byler Company provides heavy civil and railroad construction services throughout Texas and surrounding states to industrial-petrochemical facilities, commercial construction, government works and railroads. Bill received a BS in agricultural business from SHSU in 1988.
Bob and Ami Wallace
Bob Wallace is a principle at Total Convenience Marketing, a corporation established in 1987 to collectively unite a network of Convenience Store Brokers across the US. Total Convenience Marketing provides a professional sales team, marketing assistance and general business services to quality retailer and manufacturer partners. Bob recieved a BBA from SHSU in 1990, and spouse, Ami Christopher Wallace, received a ME in 1993.
Bradley S. Stewart and D. Craig Stewart are partners and vice presidents of Keystone Concrete Placement. Keystone is a family-owned, full-service, turnkey commercial construction company with considerable knowledge and experience in the construction of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities, as well as, multifamily, custom home, and tract residential markets. Keystone has over 1,500 employees in the Houston, San Antonio, and Austin markets. Brad received his BBA in general business from SHSU in 1990. Other company family members that are soon to be SHSU graduates are Melissa D. Stewart-MBA ’15 and Scott A. Stewart-BS construction management ’16.
Brian Starr is an audit partner with Whitley Penn, LLP, one of the region’s most distinguished public accounting firms. With offices in Houston, Fort Worth, and Dallas, 43 partners, and more than 300 employees, Whitley Penn has been consistently recognized as “One of the Top 100 Firms in the U.S.”, currently ranked 55th by INSIDE Public Accounting and one of “The Best Companies to Work For in Texas”, by Texas Monthly. After lettering on the 2001 Southland Conference Champion Bearkat football team, Brian received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 2002.
Brooke and Joey Beierle
Emilie Brooke Brunch Beierle is the owner and president of Vanco Ring Gasket Specialty, Inc., in Stafford. Since 1957, Vanco’s primary focus has been the manufacturing of solid metal gaskets. Brooke received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 2004.
Bryan K. Brown is a partner at Reed Smith. He received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 1989, an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and a law degree from Tulane University.
Carolyn Chipman Faulk, a former educator, is president and chief executive officer of Houston-based A&C Plastics, the largest single plastics distributor in the US. She has been a member of the SHSU Alumni Association board of directors and the SHSU athletic advisory board since 2012. Carolyn received a BBA in general business from SHSU in 1970 and is a 2015 recipient of the SHSU Distinguished Alumni Award.
Cindy Clary Marion is the president and chief executive officer of MMI, a full-service Houston advertising, public relations, and marketing agency. She is a 2015 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. Cindy received a BFA in radio, television, and film from SHSU in 1981.
Craig is CEO and President of Long Lake LTD. Long Lake, Ltd. is the largest Houston-based homebuilder and has been making owning a new home in the Greater Houston area easy and affordable for over 18 years. Craig received his BBA in general business from SHSU in 1990.
