Ashley and Amy Van Meter
Ashley Michael Van Meter is the branch manager for The Van Meter Mortgage Group, a branch of Interlinc Mortgage Services, LLC. With a degree in business, Ashley spent his first 10 years in sales and business development with Schwann's and ConAgra. Ashley entered the residential mortgage finance industry in 2003. He received his BBA in International Business from SHSU in 1993 while his wife, Amy, received her BS in Interdisciplinary studies from SHSU in 1993.
William T. “Bill” Byler, Jr., is president of W. T. Byler, Co., Inc. The W. T. Byler Company provides heavy civil and railroad construction services throughout Texas and surrounding states to industrial-petrochemical facilities, commercial construction, government works and railroads. Bill received a BS in agricultural business from SHSU in 1988.
Bob and Gay Rod
Robert J. “Bob” Rod, Sr., is first vice president and financial broker for Raymond James and Associates, Inc. Raymond James is a diversified financial services company engaged primarily in financial planning, wealth management, investment banking and asset management. Bob received a BBA in general business from SHSU in 1965 and is a 2006 recipient of the SHSU Distinguished Alumni Award. Bob is married to Sam Houston graduate Gay Wallace Rod, who received a BBA in business administration in 1965.

. After lettering on the 2001 Southland Conference Champion Bearkat football team, Brian received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 2002.
Emilie Brooke Brunch Beierle is the owner and president of Vanco Ring Gasket Specialty, Inc., in Stafford. Since 1957, Vanco’s primary focus has been the manufacturing of solid metal gaskets. Brooke received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 2004.
Bryan K. Brown is a partner with Thompson & Knight, LLP, specializing in capital market transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital transactions. Bryan received a BBA in accounting from SHSU in 1989, an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and a law degree from Tulane University.
Carolyn Chipman Faulk, a former educator, is president and chief executive officer of Houston-based A&C Plastics, the largest single plastics distributor in the US. She has been a member of the SHSU Alumni Association board of directors and the SHSU athletic advisory board since 2012. Carolyn received a BBA in general business from SHSU in 1970 and is a 2015 recipient of the SHSU Distinguished Alumni Award.
Cheryl Peschke is Senior Vice President, Investments, for Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Raymond James is a diversified financial services company engaged primarily in financial planning, wealth management, asset management and investment banking. Prior to Raymond James, Cheryl was senior vice president with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Houston. Cheryl graduated with a BBA in business education from SHSU in 1977.
Cindy Clary Marion is the president and chief executive officer of MMI, a full-service Houston advertising, public relations, and marketing agency. She is a 2015 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. Cindy received a BFA in radio, television, and film from SHSU in 1981.
Craig is CEO and President of Long Lake LTD. Long Lake, Ltd. is the largest Houston-based homebuilder and has been making owning a new home in the Greater Houston area easy and affordable for over 18 years. Craig received his BBA in general business from SHSU in 1990.
